Getting StartedSet up with the wizard

Set up with the wizard

Right after you activate, Structura opens a full-screen Setup wizard that walks you through everything it needs to start writing — in about five minutes. You can complete it now, skip it and come back later, or re-run it any time. Nothing is final until you click Finish setup.

When it opens

The wizard opens automatically the first time you land in Structura on a fresh install, on every plan. If you haven’t connected your account yet, its first screen asks for your license key (from your purchase or sign-up email) — paste it, click Connect, and setup continues from there. You can leave at any point with the Exit link in the top-right — your dashboard then shows a tile to pick the setup back up where you left off.

To start it again from scratch later, go to Site → Settings and click Restart setup wizard. Restarting keeps everything you’ve already saved; it just steps you through the choices again.

The steps

The wizard moves through these steps. You can’t move on until the current step is complete, and the step bar across the top shows where you are.

  1. Site info — Confirm the name, tagline, language, and public URL Structura pulled from WordPress. On paid plans the one-line description of what your site does is drafted for you from your homepage (edit anything that isn’t right), and you can also set a logo here — it’s prefilled from your WordPress logo when you have one, and you can upload one (handy for headless sites where WordPress has no logo). Structura uses it on the Visuals step to match the suggested image style to your brand.
  2. AI engine — Connect the AI provider Structura writes with. You connect your own key and pick the model, and you can’t continue until one working provider is connected. On cloud plans this step doesn’t appear at all — your plan runs on Structura’s managed AI, so there’s nothing to connect.
  3. SEO intelligence — Your positioning (what you do, who you serve, the problem you solve), the competitors you want to track, the keywords you’d like to rank for, and the trusted sources your posts can cite as outbound links. On paid plans the wizard researches all of this for you the first time you open the step — you land on a pre-filled screen and just review, swap, or add. (Paid plans — see Plans.)
  4. Visuals — The art-direction prompt that anchors every generated image, plus the default aspect ratio and image format. With a logo set on the Site info step, paid plans get the style drafted automatically to match your brand; without one, the wizard recommends adding a logo first (the AI suggest style button still works from your homepage alone).
  5. Personas — The voices that write your posts. Structura can draft a first persona for you; add more, edit them, or pull from the template gallery so your blog doesn’t sound one-note. These are the same personas you’ll see and manage under Personas.

When the last step is complete, Finish setup saves everything and shows a confirmation screen.

What happens next

The confirmation screen offers your next move:

  • Create your first campaign — recurring posts on a schedule. See Your first campaign.
  • Generate a single post — a one-off, no schedule needed.
  • Go to the dashboard.

Whatever you set in the wizard becomes the defaults for this site: your positioning, competitors, target keywords, and authority sources are inherited by every campaign you create on it (and are editable any time under Site), and your personas appear under Personas. If you run Structura on more than one site, each site keeps its own positioning, competitors, keywords, and authority sources — so a new site asks you to set its own rather than borrowing another site’s. (Personas are shared across your sites.)

What’s available on each plan

The wizard adapts to your plan:

  • All plans can fill in Site info, Visuals, and Personas.
  • The AI engine step only appears on plans where you bring your own key. Cloud plans run on Structura’s managed AI, so the wizard skips it.
  • SEO intelligence (keyword, competitor, and authority data) is a paid feature — on the Free plan that step shows a preview of what you’d unlock.
  • The AI “suggest” / draft-for-me buttons (positioning, visual style, persona drafting) are paid features; on the Free plan you fill those fields in yourself.
  • A couple of visual options — WebP image format and Optimize images on upload — are Pro; the Free plan uses PNG.

You can always change any of these later — see Related pages below.

Common issues

“Draft from my homepage” didn’t fill anything in. Structura reads your public homepage to draft your positioning. If your site isn’t reachable from the public internet yet (for example a staging or local URL), there’s nothing to read — fill the answers in yourself, or try again once the site is live.

I can’t get past the AI engine step. The wizard needs one working AI provider before the later steps can use it — add a valid key and pick a model. (On cloud plans this step doesn’t appear; AI is already connected.)

I closed the wizard by accident. Nothing was lost. Your dashboard shows a tile to resume it, and Site → Settings → Restart setup wizard opens it again with your saved choices intact.
