Create a campaign — full walkthrough
By the end of this page, you’ll have a configured, launched campaign and you’ll know what every screen of the flow is asking you. This is the long-read version. If you just want to get started, the quickstart on Your first campaign is faster.
The creation flow has five steps: Setup, Keywords, Authority, Rhythm, Summary. Setup arrives already filled in from what Structura knows about your site; you’ll spend most of your thinking time reviewing it and choosing a Rhythm. The other steps are reviews with sensible defaults.
Competitors live in your Site profile, not in the campaign. You set them once under Site → Competitors (and during initial site setup); every campaign on the site uses them to find keyword gaps. There’s no longer a per-campaign Competitors step.
Before you start
- Your license is activated (see Activate your license).
- You have at least one AI provider connected and marked Default Text (see Connect your AI provider).
- Optionally: a persona set up. If you don’t have one, Setup offers Random persona and you can add one later.
Start a new campaign
In WordPress admin, go to Structura → Campaigns and click New Campaign (the primary button in the top-right). You’ll land on the multi-step form with the five steps laid out as a stepper at the top.

Step 1: Setup
What it is. The campaign’s language, name, objective and voice, in one screen — and Structura has already filled it in. There is no questionnaire any more: the draft comes from what Structura already knows about your site (its language, what it does and who it serves, what it currently ranks for, and any other campaigns running on it). On paid plans, Magic suggest at the top of the step asks AI to rewrite the name and objective from the same material; the fields it wrote carry a Drafted for you label, and you can run it again or edit the result.
Language. The first field. It starts as your site’s own language (WordPress tells Structura which one that is; on a headless site you confirm it in the Site profile) and everything the campaign writes — topics, titles, posts — is in this language. The list shows the languages Structura has search data for, including separate entries for German (Germany), German (Austria) and German (Switzerland). Choose Other… to see more languages: Structura still writes in any of them, and a note under the field explains that topics then come from AI research instead of search-volume data.
Another campaign in this language? If the site already runs an active campaign in the language you picked, a one-line notice names it. It’s informational — click Continue anyway to proceed. Structura gives the new campaign a different angle and never re-targets the other campaign’s keywords.
Campaign Name. A short label to tell this campaign apart from others in your list. Usually derived from your niche — “Weeknight vegetarian recipes,” “Marketing ops for B2B SaaS.”
Campaign Objective. Two or three sentences explaining what the campaign is for, written in the campaign’s language. Structura refers back to this when picking topics and voice, so edit it freely — nothing drafted is locked.
Why these settings. A short list under the fields explains each decision Structura made: the language it chose, how it’s handling the other campaign, which writing approach it picked and why, and how the site’s overall publishing rhythm adds up. Read it once; it’s the same list you’ll see again on the Summary step.
Persona and Post length. Which voice writes the posts, and how long they should be. See Personas.
Writing approach (chosen for you)
Structura picks the writing approach from your site’s current search footprint and your objective, and tells you which one and why in the Why these settings list:
- Authority — comprehensive coverage to build topical authority. Chosen for sites that rank for few keywords so far.
- Quick Wins — target keywords already sitting on page two and push them over. Chosen when you have a handful of those.
- Conversion — content that moves readers toward a sale, signup, or action. Chosen when your objective is commercial.
- Traffic Magnet — broad, high-volume topics. The default otherwise.
Structura re-checks your site’s footprint every month and adjusts the approach on campaigns it chose for; a line in the campaign’s Why these settings list tells you when it did. If you know better, open Advanced settings → Override writing approach and pick one yourself — an overridden approach is never changed automatically.
Advanced settings
Collapsible sections you’d normally leave on defaults. Open them if you want to tune:
- Override writing approach. See above.
- AI Engine. Which connected provider writes this campaign’s posts. Defaults to your site-wide Default Text provider.
- Improvements. Small text-level tweaks:
- Replace long AI-like dashes — swaps em-dashes for formats that feel less AI-authored.
- Disable emojis — forces text-only, no emoji insertion.
- Images. Featured-image and body-image generation settings.
- Generate featured image — on by default if you have an image provider connected.
- Body image generation (BYOK and above) — adds images mid-post where appropriate.
- Content Blocks. Blocks that should appear in every post — opt-in FAQ sections, HowTo sections, callouts, quote blocks.
- SEO Directives. Toggles for the content rules where your choice
is meaningful — everything readability- and keyphrase-related is
always on automatically:
- Include FAQ section — appends a FAQ with rich-result schema.
- Include action steps — a numbered HowTo section with schema.
- Include statistics — supporting statistics in the body.
- Include a number in the title — numeric titles for higher click-through.
- Internal link optimization — links to your own related pages.
- Outbound link authority — citations to vetted, high-authority sources.
- E-E-A-T writing signals — experience-first writing aligned with Google’s helpful-content guidance: concrete specifics, answer-first sections, honest trade-offs, no filler.
- Entity coverage — researches what top-ranking pages cover for your keyword and makes sure no expected concept is missing.
- Taxonomy. Default WordPress Categories and Tags that new posts get assigned to.
- AI Transparency Signal. Adds an optional Disclosure Notice to each post letting readers know AI assisted in the writing.
Click Continue when you’re satisfied with the config.
Step 2: Keywords
Structura has already researched target keywords based on your strategy and the competitors saved in your Site profile. You’ll see a list, each with the phrase and a short note on why it was picked.
Where competitors come from. Keyword research mines the competitors you set under Site → Competitors (and during site setup) to spot content gaps — topics they rank for that you haven’t covered yet. That’s the single place to manage your competitor list; it feeds every campaign on the site. Manage them there, not in the campaign.
Review the list. Delete entries you don’t want, edit phrasings you disagree with, and add keywords you know convert for you. See Target keywords — what and how for the criteria Structura uses.
Re-discover. Scraps the whole list and re-researches. Useful if you want a different angle.
When you’re happy, click Looks good — continue.

Step 3: Authority
Structura proposes external sources it’ll cite when writing. Review them, remove any you don’t recognise or trust, add any staples of your niche that are missing. See Authority links — why posts cite them for guidance.
Click Looks good — continue when done.
Step 4: Rhythm
How often should the campaign publish? Choose Manual to set exact days and times, or Smart to let Structura spread posts across the period at natural-looking times. Options include:
- Daily — one post per day.
- Multiple times a week — pick specific weekdays.
- Weekly — once a week.
- Biweekly / Monthly — less often.
- Quota-capped — publish until a total-posts target is hit, then complete the campaign.
Pick what matches your plan’s quota and your audience’s attention. A higher rhythm is not automatically better — posts that nobody reads aren’t a win.
On the Free plan, a campaign publishes at most one post per week. Smart scheduling and Daily publishing are paid features, and Weekly lets you choose a single day. To publish more often, choose Go Pro in the scheduler or upgrade from Billing in your account portal. Campaigns you created before this limit took effect keep their existing schedule.
Click Continue to go to the final review.
Step 5: Summary
A single screen showing everything: campaign name, mode, keyword count, authority-source count, objective, and schedule.
If any of it looks wrong, click a step in the stepper at the top to go back and edit.
When everything is right, click Launch Campaign (the rocket button). The campaign enters Structura’s scheduler immediately.

What happens after launch
The campaign now appears in Structura → Campaigns with an Active status badge. The first scheduled run will either kick off within a few minutes (daily or more often) or on the first scheduled slot (weekly and longer).
- Watch the run from the campaign’s detail page — each run has a step-by-step timeline you can click into.
- See posts as they’re queued under Overview → Active Queue.
- See posts as they’re published under WP Admin → Posts (look for the Structura badge) and under the Posts tab of the campaign detail screen.
To generate a one-off post without waiting: Running a campaign manually.
Advanced options
- Edit a campaign — change any of these settings later. See Edit a campaign.
- Duplicate a campaign — use a campaign as a template for a new one. See Duplicate a campaign.
- Pause a campaign — stop scheduled runs without deleting. See Pause or delete a campaign.
Common issues
“Couldn’t launch campaign — provider not available.” Your Default Text provider is disconnected or has an invalid key. Go to AI Engine and confirm the provider card shows green.
“Campaign limit reached.” Each plan limits how many campaigns one site can hold at once (Free: 1, BYOK: 10, Cloud and Cloud Pro: unlimited). Paused campaigns still count, because you can resume them. The “X / Y campaigns” chip in the top-right of Structura → Campaigns shows where you stand. Free up a slot by pausing or deleting a campaign you’re no longer running, upgrade your plan, or contact us if you need more on your current tier. See Managing your subscription → Campaigns per plan for the full table.
The Keywords step returns an empty list. Either the objective gave discovery too little to work with, or your niche is too new or too narrow for automated research. Add a few keywords manually — Structura learns from the edits and the next Re-discover will be better.
I launched but nothing runs. Check the Rhythm setting. A weekly-scheduled campaign doesn’t run until the first slot falls due. Use Running a campaign manually to force an immediate run.
