Video: Shorts & TikTok
Turn every post your Structura site publishes into a 30–60 second vertical video you can upload to YouTube Shorts and TikTok. There’s no account to connect and no tokens to paste — you install the channel, pick a voice, and download the finished video when it’s ready. The look and feel follows your site’s visual preset — see Video styling below.
This channel is included with Cloud Pro (Agency plans bundle it), and with any other plan whose subscription includes video.
What gets rendered
When a post publishes, Structura turns it into a vertical video (9:16, 1080×1920) made of:
- A slideshow of your post’s images plus licensed stock footage that matches the topic.
- An AI voiceover narrating the key points of the post.
- Animated captions synced to the voiceover, so the video still works with the sound off.
The voiceover and captions follow the post’s language — a German post produces a German video.
Structura doesn’t publish the video for you. You download it and upload it to YouTube Shorts or TikTok yourself — see Uploading to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels below.
Before you start
- Check your plan. The channel is included with Cloud Pro (Agency plans bundle it) and with any other plan whose subscription includes video. If you don’t see the channel unlocked, your plan doesn’t include it yet — upgrade or contact us.
- Only published posts get videos. Posts saved as drafts or pending review don’t get a video until they’re actually published.
Steps
- Go to Channels → Store (in wp-admin or the portal) and click the Video: Shorts & TikTok card, then install it. No sign-in window opens — there’s no account connection needed.
- The Configure dialog opens. Pick a Voice — six AI voices (Ava, Marcus, Lena, Oliver, Priya, Noah), each with a 2-second inline preview so you can hear it before you decide.
- Check the Visual style summary. Styling no longer lives in this dialog — the summary shows which visual preset this site uses, and the Edit in Visuals link takes you to that preset’s Video section (see Video styling below).
- Choose which campaigns the channel applies to.
- Set the Render a video every Nth post cadence if you don’t want a video for every single post, then save the dialog.
What happens next
When one of your posts publishes, the video starts rendering:
- Under Channels → Activity the video appears with live progress through the render’s four steps — voiceover, footage, rendering, and finishing (a full render usually takes 5–10 minutes; the rendering step is the longest). Once it’s done, the row shows a thumbnail preview, the video’s duration and size, Download video and Preview actions, and Suggested captions — ready-to-paste text for each platform.
- You also get an email — “Your video is ready” — with a Download video button plus a suggested caption and hashtags to paste when you upload.
Videos stay available for a year after rendering, and download links refresh automatically whenever you open the page — nothing to do on your side. If a video’s file is no longer available, its Activity row offers Regenerate, which renders the video again and uses 1 video from your monthly quota.
Uploading to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels
Every finished video comes with Suggested captions — a ready-to-paste package for each platform, on the video’s row under Channels → Activity (and on the post’s Channels tab in the portal). Switch between Shorts, TikTok and Reels and use the Copy buttons next to each field:
- YouTube Shorts — a separate Title, Description and Tags. The description links to your article as plain text: links in Shorts descriptions aren’t clickable, but the URL still helps search and viewers can copy it. Tags repeats the description’s hashtags as a comma-separated list, ready to paste into the Tags box on YouTube’s upload form. YouTube automatically treats vertical videos under 3 minutes as Shorts — no special upload flow needed.
- TikTok — one longer caption written for TikTok search, ending in “link in bio”. When you upload, enable TikTok’s AI-generated content toggle — the video uses an AI voiceover.
- Instagram Reels — a tighter caption with five hashtags (Instagram’s recommended maximum).
The captions follow the post’s language, like the video itself. Videos rendered before this feature shipped show a single suggested caption instead.
Video styling
How your videos look is set on your site’s visual preset — the same preset that holds your image style and brand palette. Open the preset in Visuals and scroll to its Video section (included with Cloud Pro and any other plan whose subscription includes video; Agency plans bundle it). The channel’s Configure dialog keeps voice and cadence, and shows which preset the site uses with an Edit in Visuals link.
- Visual style — three presets: Clean, Bold, or Kinetic.
- Video art direction — a separate prompt for motion, footage and pacing. Click Suggest video style to draft it from your homepage, then edit it freely.
- Caption placement — Top, Middle, or Bottom. Bottom is the default and feels native on Shorts, TikTok and Reels. Caption accents automatically use the preset’s brand palette — there’s nothing to configure.
- Already using the channel? Your current style was carried over automatically, with captions kept in the middle, so your existing videos don’t change. On eligible plans, the setup wizard also pre-fills branded video styling for you — the Video styling row marked “Suggested for you” on its Visuals step.
Monthly quota
Cloud Pro includes 40 videos per month per site — each connected site has its own allowance, so one site reaching its limit doesn’t affect your other sites. The meter — “X of 40 videos this month” — shows in the Configure dialog and on the connection row.
When the quota is used up, new posts are skipped for video — the post itself still publishes normally — and rendering resumes when the quota resets at the start of your next billing cycle.
Failed renders never consume quota.
Common issues
- A post didn’t get a video. Check the quota meter — once the site’s 40 videos for the month are used, its new posts are skipped until the quota resets (your other sites aren’t affected). Also confirm your plan includes video, and remember that drafts and posts pending review don’t get videos until they’re published.
- The download link expired. Download links refresh automatically when you open the page, and videos stay available for a year after rendering. If the video’s file itself is no longer available, click Regenerate on the row under Channels → Activity — this uses 1 video from your monthly quota.
- A render failed. The Activity row shows a human-readable reason and a Retry render action. Failed renders never consume quota, so retrying costs you nothing.
- The video is in the wrong language. The voiceover and captions follow the post’s language, not your account language — check the campaign’s language setting.
